For airplane week, I created an "airplane" for the kids to fly. So far, this was my favorite week, because I had more things for them to do in dramatic play and it was also the easiest to create.
Hanging airplanes and clouds as well as the backdrop of sky |
Airplane "windows" |
A suitcase and a shelf full of clothing so they can practice folding clothes as well as pack for their vacation |
A boarding pass for kids to write their names and take home |
And of course, what's a plane without a cockpit? :) Next to it you can see the west coast of a laminated US map, and the kids all had nametags that they could place where they wanted to travel to. |
we're taking a trip in the classroom... to Alaska... trying to recreate this. i love it.
